Has anyone noticed that when recording using the Count In feature on Maschine, sometimes the first midi note, when triggered on the one, gets put at the end of the sequence instead of the beginning?  I've noticed this and am wondering if this is a program issue/bug/glitch, or if there is something weird going on with my copy of the software.

it's just a matter of when you hit the pad, if you hit it a tad bit early, it will do that

Ok.  Not a big problem.  Just thought it was a bit strange for the pre-count to actually start from the end of the pattern.

usually if u quantize it on maschine it will fix it

Typically I don't use the quantize feature.  If I do then its usually just 50% after the real time recording.  I like the natural loose feel of not being locked into the grid.  Makes the music sound more human and less robotic.  Also allows you to put more of your own vibe into it.

yep

yeah the count in is actually starting from the last bar of the pattern, it's weird.

so you can definitely hit it a bit early and it will put the note at the end of the pattern

if that happens I usually just drag that first note over where it needs to be or redo it lol.

yeah, this has been driving me a little crazy. I've noticed that sometimes even if I deliberately hit the first note too late it still sometimes puts it right at the end of the pattern. And it doesn't always put the note back where it should be with quantize.

quantize depends on your grid settings

I just mean that very first note in the pattern. Quantize works perfectly for all other notes in the pattern, There does seem to be a little glitch (for me at least) with the first note after the count in.

yeah, I notice if you try to quantize that first note, how it responds depends on what you have the grid set too

I see what you mean, I'll have a play around with it. To be honest all of these things are just such minor issues. There's really not much wrong with the product. Now that I'm getting the hang of the hardware shortcuts on the Mikro there's not much that you can't do direct from the hardware. Not sure why but it feels so much more satisfying the working with a mouse.

I still think they need to get it fixed, minor issues add up to headaches after a while lol

Maybe they'll now decide to make Mikro specific updates, instead of just a blanket update for both models.
