Maschine and Kontakt

Hi all,

I am using the latest version of Maschine and Komplete 8 ultimate. I use Maschine as a VST in Ableton 8. The midi routing is configuring based on SaintJoe's tutorial. -Thanks

Now when I load a preset from Kontakt I have to set midi in to Omni every time.

1. Is there anyway I can set midi in for Kontakt permanently to Omni so I don't have to change it every time I load a new Kontakt preset?

2. Where are midi settings for Reactor? I can't find a setting for midi in Omni for Reactor.

1. go into kontakt settings and you set the default for new instruments, you can set it to omni so that each instrument you load will be omni

2. reaktor doesn't have an "omni" setting like kontakt that I know of, but I could be wrong I'll have to look. I don't use it as much as kontakt.

Hi SaintJoe,

Thanks for the instructions. I followed your advice and created a new instrument and set the input to Omni; then I saved it as default. When I load a new instance of Kontakt in Ableton it sets the input as Omni as needed but I when I browse a Kontakt preset from Maschine it still does not set it to Omni. Any clues?

you don't do it in the instrument, open kontakt and do it in the kontakt settings, go to options, then handling, and set it there
