Maschine as Master in DAW

Hey guys, I have a quick question for anyone out there. Can Maschine be designated as the Master instead of the Slave in a DAW like Pro Tools. Just recently decided to use Maschine as a plug in in Pro Tools, but the Play button on my hardware is not active. Playback can only be controlled via the host (Pro Tools). I'm looking for a way (if there is one) to control Maschine via the hardware transport instead of via the host. Any help folks would be greatly appreciated. Thanx a lot.

no, maschine as a plugin will always be a slave to the daw

hopefully they allow us to bypass and at least use the play button when using it as a plugin...it's been a huge request for a while

ok, cool, understood. it kinda sucks to use the transport control in Pro Tools all the time, considering all the beat programming is done via the hardware. hopefully the change it in an update soon. thanx a lot saintjoe for such a quick response. much thanx.
