Windows Vista does not reconice the Maschine hardware HELP please
hey, because my laptop was stolen i am trying to instal Maschine on my old Vista.
Everything works only 1 thing not:
the Maschine controller does not work, when i plug it in the lights go on and off but the screens stay empty.
'Software works oke.
I tryed to instal it again, but the same problem, after installing the software i plug in the Maschine, windows go's automaticly searching fot the right configuration but then it says :
MUST RESTART WINDOWS BEFORE COMPLETING, when i do that Maschine wont be reconized anymore grrrrrrrr
What can i do i'm getting real frustie now and i dont have a clu what to do :(

contact tech support they should be able to help you
you didn't have the controller plugged in when you installed the software did you?
also make sure you have admin rights for the account you're logged on as

Oke, i'll do that. Thanks.
I followed the exact steps in the guide, so i didnt plugged it in before the set ip told me to do.
btw the Mac Mini i'm gonna buy mayby, it aint got a dvd player, i wondered if its possible to copy the installation cd rom from Maschine on a usb stick and then install Maschine from the USB stick? i know there is a external dvd player but if its possible to do it without its better offcourse.

not sure you can try do copy the contents to a usb drive, it may work

This could work but its possible that later on turns out that not all functions work or it get disrupted files, i asked in a Mac shop (but maybe they say this because they want to sell the external dvddrive)

I already got a mail from Native Instruments at this point (whtin 24 hours, first time ever from NI)
The problem is because i have a Maschine 1.6 version, that does not support Windows Vista.
The manual/setup guide says it does work in Vista because that manual/book is still based on the Maschine 1.5 version.
Problem solved....
