In that case I take it all back - a few months back I read on musicradar that they'd shut up shop, I guess it was just some overenthusiastic online journalism!

open labs didn't go bust, they still open and selling gear ;), they just have new management/owners

Whoa! Always wanted one of these, no doubt a future collectable - shame Open Labs went bust, but with those price tags you are always gonna be limiting your market. I always thought that if Akai want the MPC to live on in the long-term future as hardware, they need to start working on getting a computer inside their hardware!

True I feel ya, but if I want to take the Miko off-site I only have to carry this one piece of gear and I'm good to go. Convenience & portability makes a big difference.

Glad you like the setup bro. The Miko serves as a backup studio as well.

I like the OpenLabs however, with Maschine, Midi Keyboard, A Labtop, NI's Komplete 7, you'll basically have A Neko/Miko but for half the money.

But It Still Nice Tho

the only thing missing from my arsenal but im afraid if i get this no need for maschine! Havnt open labs been made redudnat so no more of these products
