Tried this. MIDI notes would only trigger in Logic when Group E is selected while in Controller Mode. Don't know why.... but it worked for me. Give it a shot.

You have to remember that it's not actually the Maschine controller that's doing the number crunching here, it's your PC or laptop that's doing the work. The Maschine itself doesn't do any computing. Any crashes, slow downs,…

depends on the kit or instrument you are loading, how fast your hard drive is, etc.
