Ive just just seen a UDG at Musikmesse overview of new products which mentions new "shells" for all NI products. Could this be the lightweight rigid clamshell I've wanted to keep my controller safe…Continue

DJ Rock Well replied to Ilogic Chop's discussion Maschine 1.8
"In just guessing, but I think V2.0 will be a complete under the hood rebuild which will include or pave the way for; multicore support, side-chaining, sample layering and real-time timestretch. I also reckon we won't see it for a while and it…"

DJ Rock Well replied to Ilogic Chop's discussion Maschine 1.8
"I've heard that it will take a serious software rebuild to incorporate this and we'll have to wait until V2.0 before this glaring omission is dealt with. Like you I'm disappointed by this, but I'm glad they've done this 1.8…"

DJ Rock Well replied to Ilogic Chop's discussion Maschine 1.8
"Timestretch is here... finally! I like the Transient feature and I never say no to another tube emulation and I've really been hoping for the easier sound select and erase functions and the playback position on waveform for while now. As ever,…"

DJ Rock Well replied to Stan Steez's discussion Informative Blogpost about Maschine Swing
"Damn Stan! Good tip - never thought to use the bigger swing values to slide parts... I usually just play them early or late with the grid off or manually highlight the parts and just slide them left or right afterwards. I will definitely be trying…"

DJ Rock Well replied to dj king's discussion Intro
"Welcome mate, it's a pleasure to find someone from the old school excited by maschine - all the fun of old hardware samplers, without the floppy discs. I make a lot of hip hop beats, but am a keen collector of Jamaican records and I sample them…"

Beats:Minutes Feat. Ran Jacobovitz - Groove A (Maschine+Live Drums)

"Really like it mate! Sounded good and kept my attention throughout... and your buddy on the drums really kills it too. Don't know if it was intentional, but i really like the distortion on the drum recording. Which FX were you tweaking on this?"

DJ Rock Well replied to SK's discussion Anyone know how to make Maschine run on Multiple Cores?
"Glad to be of help. Obviously, there shouldn't be a different cpu workload for the two formats - there isn't when I load them in Ableton, as far as I can tell - but after starting off choosing AUs myself, finding them cpu heavy, and…"

DJ Rock Well replied to SK's discussion Anyone know how to make Maschine run on Multiple Cores?
"Don't know if its any help mate but on my system - also a new MBP, although that may not matter - when I run NIs own plugins like reaktor or massive or whatever in maschine, they run much lighter on the cpu when used as VST rather than AU...…"
