Setting up maschine to send midi notes to armed (Record mode Trk) on Protools 8 DAW

Here's how you can use maschine sounds slot 1-16 etc...set up your loop range inside protools, click record mode on Protools and all your midi notes appears on a Instrument track on protools for advance editing.......This way your using Maschine as a sound module and sequencing in side your DAw!


Step 1 ..... Open up a protool Session, under your SETUP tab go to MIDI- midi Studio, Maschine Controller IN/OUT should be selected.

Step 2......Go Back to the SETUP tab MIDI- input filter select ALL , now go to SETUP-midi - INPUT DEVICES, select Maschine as your midi input Enable....

Step 3 ......Create a instrument track on Protools .....Set up your ins and outs inserts etc.....Let maschine software pop up on your screen.....If so Good ! lol

Step 4.....Set your BPM (TEMPO) ON PROTOOLS ....Maschine tempo should change also....Set up your loop region inside of Protools....

Step 5..... Assign some sounds to your pads .....The same way you do in standalone mode.....Press Shift and Control on your Maschine Hardware, select General Midi Template #9 on the right you should see squares for each note....



Step6 ......On your maschine software right click on the blue shaded area, groups a-h Select SOUNDS MIDI BATCH SETUP......Next the sound to midi batch setup dialog box pop's up......" SELECT SOUNDS TO MIDI NOTES MIDI CHANNEL" root Note......C3......( if you change c3 to c1 this put your sound on pad 1 etc...)


Step 7 Arm your Instrument track on protools start laying down some sounds! You can record everthing on the 1 instrument track inside PT8.....Use Event Operations - Select/Split Notes / Use this feature to Seperate each Sound to it's own Track.....

Use Maschine Manual Adddendum /page 12 / section 4.2 for additional help.

wow vivi you have amassed and arsenal of musical firepower lol. I don't know how you have time to use each piece! lol I find myself neglecting certain bits on my kit as i move forward with new pieces of gear.
anyway thanks for uploading those 3 new tracks. hope I can put some up as soon as i have some time off.

wELCOME DO GET RID OF YOUR MV *0000 YET THE MASCHINE IS LACKING ALOT ADVANCE MIDI FEATURE.........MAYBE YOU CAN HELP ME ! i WANT TO SEND MASCHINE MIDI NOTES TO MY HOST DAW FOR PROTOOLS 8 FOR EDITING AND ARRANGING MY SONG IN 1 SEQUENCER,....

vivi are you still using your mv and mc 808 sp's etc with maschine or are you sticking to a main piece of kit. (not sure if i remember right but don't you do demos for roland. I know we've spoke a while back)
